At its November 2000 meeting, the Rogers High School Alumni Association voted unanimously to purchase a $15,000 Security System for the Rogers High School Library. The system consists of two 3M Electromagnetic Security Scanners -- one for the front door of the library and one for the side door. The system also includes 3M Tattle-Tape Security Strips which will be placed in the library's collection of books and resource materials.
The 3M Electromagnetic Security Scanner optimizes the handling, processing and security of library materials. It will protect books and other resource materials from unauthorized removal. In past years the Alumni Association has donated funds to the library for the purchase of new books. The new system will safeguard materials allowing the library to increase its inventory of books over the next few years rather than replenishing missing books.
